Step flashing at chimney walls is the number one leak source we see in Deferiet. Improper step flashing causes roof leaks. It's that simple. We install new step flashing with a chimney cricket for proper water diversion, sealed with Geocel tripolymer sealant. Fix it once, fix it right.

Wind damage doesn't always look obvious from the ground. Lifted shingles, broken seals, exposed nail heads. You can't see any of that without getting on the roof. Our Deferiet inspector does a full 27-point inspection, free of charge.

Building a new home in Deferiet? Our crew works directly with your GC or we self-perform. We handle everything from the decking up: underlayment, ventilation design, material installation, and final inspection.

Metal roofing in New York makes sense. It reflects heat, handles high winds, and sheds hail better than shingles. We install standing seam, corrugated, and metal shingle panels.

PVC roofing membrane for Deferiet restaurants, commercial kitchens, and any rooftop near grease exhaust. PVC resists animal fats and chemical exposure that destroys TPO and EPDM. We install IB Roof Systems and Duro-Last PVC with heat-welded seams and custom-fabricated accessories. Built-up roofing (BUR) with 3-4 plies of fiberglass felt in hot asphalt is still the longest-proven flat roof system with a 30+ year track record in New York.

TPO is our most-requested commercial membrane in New York. Reflective, energy-efficient, and it welds together at the seams for a watertight bond. We install 60-mil and 80-mil systems with 15-20 year manufacturer warranties.

Half-round copper gutters with round downspouts. That's the premium install. We solder joints on-site using 50/50 tin-lead solder. Copper develops a natural patina in New York's climate within 5-7 years. For aluminum, we use Spectra Metals .027 gauge seamless with Raytec hidden hangers rated to hold 25 lbs per linear foot of ice and debris load.

Our 27-point roof inspection covers: shingle condition, granule loss, nail pops, lifting tabs, ridge cap integrity, valley flashing, step flashing at walls, drip edge, pipe boot seals, vent function, soffit ventilation, gutter pitch, downspout capacity, fascia condition, decking (from attic if accessible), and visible signs of moisture in the attic. Written report with photos emailed same day.

Emergency tarping is the first priority. We cover the exposed area to stop water entry, then schedule the permanent repair once conditions allow. We don't charge extra for emergency tarp jobs. It's part of the repair cost.

Skylight installation costs $1,200-$3,500 in Deferiet depending on size, type, and roof pitch. That includes the unit, flashing kit, interior trim, and roof patch-in. We handle everything from the outside in.
